The Knights of Columbus #9924 and the Women's 18-Hole Golf Association at the Venice Golf & Country Club recently hosted charity golf tournaments and selected our Robert and Joan Lee Boys & Girls Club in Venice as a beneficiary. Proceeds from these two events ensure that our Club members in the Venice community have access to high-quality educational and recreational programs under the supervision of a trained youth development professional.
The Charity Golf Event hosted by the Knights of Columbus #9924 took place on November 12 and raised a total of $4,000 for our Club with 204 golfers. SOLVE Maternity Homes and Challenger Baseball were also beneficiaries of the tournament.
"We selected these three charities to benefit from this event because they do exceptional work for the children in our community who need our help," said Committee Co-Chair Larry Baranick. "This was a great way to get family and friends together to support meaningful causes in Venice."
On December 13, the Women's 18-Hole Golf Association at the Venice Golf & Country Club hosted their annual Holiday Tournament with 62 golfers, raising $517 to support our Robert and Joan Lee Club members.
"We get such joy from golfing for a cause," said Pat Miller, Chairperson for the Holiday Tournament. "Our members all agreed that we wanted this year's tournament to help Venice's children, and the Robert and Joan Lee Boys & Girls Club was a great fit."
Thank you to these two entities for supporting great futures and giving our Robert and Joan Lee Club members more opportunities to achieve their full potential.
