Barton Malow, a leading construction company, has played an instrumental role in the development of CoolToday Park, the new Atlanta Braves Spring Training Facility in North Port. Barton Malow recently presented the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties with a $2,500 donation. The funds will support enriching educational, developmental and recreational programs for children and teens at the Gene Matthews Boys & Girls Club, located at 6851 S. Biscayne Dr. in North Port.
“Community involvement is a key component of Barton Malow’s initiatives. We make every effort to give back to the communities where we work,” said Len Moser, Vice President of The Barton Malow Company.
“As one of the contractors on the new Atlanta Braves Spring Training Facility, it was important for us to show our commitment and appreciation to the local area that has welcomed us over the past year and a half. Our partnership with the Braves organization is valued and their support of the Gene Matthews Boys & Girls Club made our desire to make this contribution, an easy one.”
Major League Baseball designated the Boys & Girls Clubs of America as an official charitable partner in 1997, and the partnership has grown to a multi-faceted alliance from high-impact programs to national campaigns that raise public awareness about the vital youth development services Boys & Girls Clubs provide in their communities.
“Support from the Barton Malow Company allows our organization to provide greater opportunities for youth to achieve their full potential,” said Bill Sadlo, President/CEO at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties. “This contribution will give North Port’s future leaders access to programs that help them do well in school, adopt healthy habits and plan for success after high school graduation.”
