For two decades, our community has come together each September for the IPG Leadership Breakfast, a powerful tradition that celebrates visionary leaders who have driven real change and created pathways to success for local teens. Founded in 2006 by Community Youth Development (CYD), the Leadership Breakfast has inspired generations of young leaders while honoring individuals whose service and leadership have strengthened Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.
As we celebrate the event's 20th anniversary on Friday, September 4, 2026, we will reflect on the remarkable legacy of leadership that has shaped our community and recognize the lasting impact of the people, programs, and partnerships that have helped empower young leaders over the past two decades.
This milestone event will celebrate 20 years of investing in youth leadership while looking ahead to the next generation of changemakers who will continue to strengthen Sarasota and DeSoto Counties for years to come.
