We are very excited that members at the Lee Wetherington Boys & Girls Club have been participating in a non-traditional Boys and Girls Club program by working closely with Master Gardeners.
Master Gardeners are volunteers who have been trained by the Extension Service as a University of Florida-trained volunteer educator in the Environmental Horticulture Program. The Master Gardeners have educated and provided research-based information to members about gardening, environmental horticulture and pest management.
The members have responded well to this collaboration and are excited to continue this program through the summer! Lots of fun and high yield learning opportunities are happening as a result of this awesome program!
